Welcome to MI Lighthouse (“MI Lighthouse,”, “we,”, “us,”, “our”, “Services”). By using MI Lighthouse, you agree to comply with our privacy policy (“Policy”). This Policy describes what information will be collected from you and how it will be used.
When you are registered for MI Lighthouse by being invited from your private MI Start Map account, you will be required to share the following information: your email, name, role, and password. This authentication and authorization information will be shared by an authorizing official with MI Lighthouse and MI Start Map. We use and store this information to determine what you have access to, and what you have accessed.
Like many other websites, MI Lighthouse collects information through analytics services that your browser sends whenever you visit our site to improve the user experience. This generalized “log data” includes information such as your browser version, the pages of MI Lighthouse that you visit, the time spent on those pages, IP address, and other similar statistics.
The application data you share will be used to verify your identity. Moreover, your data will be used to manage your user permissions and connect you to other users who may be relevant to your ongoing case work.
The University of Michigan School of Public Health has coordinated with the Michigan Departments of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) to develop MI Lighthouse. Data will be shared between state public health officials, local public health officials, and University of Michigan faculty who are working on behalf of public health officials.
